Coronavirus (Covid-19) – Important Information for Members

We do hope you are safe and well and taking care in these challenging times. In light of the current, local environment regarding the levels of Covid-19, it’s unfortunate that once again, on government instruction, that we are obligated to temporarily close GloGym.

We are sure you will agree that since we reopened our facilities on the 25th of July, the service delivered has been safe and enjoyable and we have been delighted with the reactions from our teams and customers, the feedback received from our customers has been truly fantastic and has reinforced that what we are doing is right and safe. Whilst we fully believe as a business we are progressing in the right direction and gradually expanding the service, the news that the national rise in Covid-19 and the subsequent government action ties our hands and we must temporarily close at the end of Wednesday 4th November 2020.

As a Health and Fitness member we will automatically freeze your membership and you do not need to do anything further;

Please note; If you are a Direct Debit customer, when we reopen and reinstate your membership, we will ensure the closure period is discounted from your next payment. You will not lose any day’s membership.

• If you have a Direct Debit, your payment will be suspended and no payments taken until the facilities re-open.
• If your Direct Debit normally goes out of your bank in the next couple of days a payment will have been taken for November/December as we could not freeze in time. Upon reopening we will ensure you receive the next month with no further payment. All future payments are frozen until we reopen, we anticipate this to be at the start of December 2020 in line with the PMs announcement.
• If you have an annual, pre-paid membership it will be automatically extended to cover the closure period once we re-open.

With the news and notice given, I’m sure you can imagine our teams have been and will continue to be working non-stop and we thank you for your patience and understanding. Over this period our capacity is reduced, the volume of enquiries that are coming in through our communication channels is unprecedented and as such we ask that you do bear with us. We urge any enquiries to be directed to us via email rather than the phones info@glogym.co.uk.

We are extremely grateful for the fact that a number of our customers choose to continue to pay their membership fees in recognition of the fact that it helps us over the period of uncertainty. We have taken the decision to use these voluntary contributions from members towards ensuring a fair level of financial support for our staff who’s income would otherwise not be supported by government funding.

To every single one of you, a final message to stay safe, healthy and active – we are sure this is temporary and we are looking forward to reopening our doors again very soon. Again, we will have a variety of classes and activity online so stay tuned to the website and social media platforms.
