How you can get in touch

It may take us a little longer to get back to you with a reduced service team, working from home, but we are always here to help.

Frequently asked questions

How can I contact Glo Gym during the close down?

In line with government advice our team’s capacity has been reduced to a minimum and our employees are working from home. However, emails via info@glogym.co.uk and through our contact form will be answered by the team.

What is happening to Glo Gym employees and the facilities during the prolonged closure?

The majority of employees have been placed in furlough in-line with government guidance where the advice is to protect our people from contacting and spreading the virus. Some employees are volunteering to support the community to help with food distribution, welfare of NHS staff and community swabbing. We have a small team of employees that are continuing to work. This team are delivering essential tasks such as building checks, partnership working i.e. supporting the NHS, keeping the community updated and providing a customer support mechanism.

What do I need to do and how can I protect myself?

Coronavirus (Covid-19) Latest advice and information regarding the Coronavirus please refer to following: NHS website and Government Website. All the information in one place around what you need to do regarding Covid-19 from the UK government. It includes protecting yourself and others, employment and financial support, school closures, education, childcare, information for businesses, healthcare workers and carers, and more. If you feel you have symptoms head to the NHS website which includes advice if you or someone you live with are displaying symptoms, how to access the NHS 111 coronavirus service, how to avoid catching and spreading the virus and more guidance. What is social distancing in the UK? This guidance is for everyone, including children. It advises on social distancing measures we should all be taking to reduce social interaction between people in order to reduce the transmission of coronavirus (COVID-19). It is intended for use in situations where people are living in their own homes, with or without additional support from friends, family and carers. Have more questions on what you need to do? Have a read of the Frequently Asked Questions on the Government website.

Why is Glo Gym closed?

In line with Government guidance aimed at halting the spread of coronavirus, the GloGym facility is closed. We understand that the gym and activities we provide are important to you and of course we will reopen as soon as it is safe to do so.

When will Glo Gym reopen?

This will be decided by the UK Government. Given the situation is completely unprecedented the environment is continually changing. As such we are unable to confirm how long we will be closed, we will continue to reassess the situation and provide a further update as and when we can. During this time we will continue to follow the advice and updates provided by the Government, Public Health England and NHS.

What is happening to my fitness membership during closure?

If you have a fitness membership at Glo Gym, we have automatically frozen your payments until we reopen. This was processed on the 26th March 2020. We ask that you do not cancel your direct debit to avoid unnecessary administration when your membership can be restarted. If you have paid up front, in full, for an annual fitness membership, it will automatically be extended when we reopen so that the duration of the closure period is added and you do not lose any of your membership period. We recognise and are extremely grateful for the fact that a number of our customers are able and happy to continue to pay their membership fees in recognition of the fact that it helps us over the period of uncertainty. We have taken the decision to use these voluntary contributions from members towards ensuring a fair level of financial support for our staff, especially for those whose income would otherwise not be supported by government funding. This includes the staff who drop in at short notice to clean, serve and deliver classes at short-notice to cover the regular and contracted staff. If you do wish to make a contribution to support our casual workers please contact us and we will liaise with you about how much you would be willing to contribute or maintaining your regular direct debit payment.
